Judging by a quick search on the internet, this is not uncommon scenario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are a few suggestions online which seem to work for different cases. One of the solutions is to turn on, or off, containerd support. What I haven&#8217;t seen suggested is to turn <strong><em>on and then off<\/em><\/strong> containerd support. This worked for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of version version 4.37.0, the process is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open Settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure &#8216;General&#8217; is selected on the left<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scroll down and select &#8216;User containerd for pulling and storing images&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accept the warning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unselect containerd setting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Docker Desktop is a useful tool, but imagine that you have a host of containers installed, packed with useful information which suddenly disappears following a successful upgrade of Docker Desktop.
